Women’s Coastal Skills Workshop!!!

Join us on January 31st from 12:30–6:00 PM for our Women’s Coastal Skills: Sea to Table workshop — a one-of-a-kind adventure designed to empower women on the water. Departing from Isle of Palms Marina, this hands-on experience blends outdoor education, coastal harvesting, and genuine connection as we explore the salt marshes along the way to Capers Island. Throughout the afternoon, participants will learn essential coastal skills including oyster, clam, and mussel harvesting, knot tying, rod rigging, shrimping and crabbing basics, and even how to fillet fish like a pro. You’ll also get to try cast-netting, enjoy a guided nature walk, and help cook a fresh seafood feast right on the beach.
We’re especially excited about our partnership with Golden Girls Outdoors, whose founder Courtney will lead a boating-confidence session covering navigation, driving basics, and anchoring. Her expertise adds an empowering layer to the day, giving women the chance to take the helm in a supportive and fun environment. After cooking seafood over the fire — including our famous fish stew — we’ll wrap up the experience with a peaceful sunset cruise back to the marina.
Perfect for beginners or seasoned coastal gals alike, this workshop blends adventure, education, and community into an unforgettable day on the water.
