Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network and Barrier Island EcoTours are partnering up for the annual Dolphin Count. Join our naturalist along with marine mammal biologists for this chance to become a citizen scientist helping to collect valuable data on local dolphins. Departing from the Isle of Palms Marina, we will explore the salt marshes between Isle of Palms and Capers Island on a search and discovery mission for the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. Learn all kinds of interesting facts about our true “locals” and the amazing ecosystem they live in. This trip includes a 30 min. stop on Capers Island Heritage Preserve where you will have a chance to wander down to the Bone-yard Beach. Enjoy views of the sun setting over the salt marsh on the boat cruise back to the marina. Special price of $30 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and less. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks in a small cooler or use ours. Please arrive by 5:15. Boat leaves at 5:30 returning at 8 pm. 100% of proceeds go to the Lowcounty Marine Mammal Network.
